She came home this past week, perfectly healthy and beyond happy to be home. I still can't believe it! Here she is the night she got home:
Suki the ancient car has been begging to retire. She no longer goes faster than 40mph and has starting shining her "check engine" light in my eyes. Unfortunately, it would be inhumane to put her through more car surgery at the mechanic, so we're just staying in town until...
--insert drumroll--
...my new car arrives!
I found the car I want in a Taos classified ad, and my sister and godmother went out of their way on a busy day to test drive the car, take it to the mechanic, bargain, and purchase this car for me. (I'll pay them back tomorrow when sis brings the car to me.) Thanks, guys! I owe you!
Here is Susie at my sister's house. She'll get to me bright and early tomorrow morning. Woohoo!
And, uh... I ordered a dozen new bumper stickers last night. Heh.
WOOHOO! You so deserve a new car! Blessings to Suki and welcome, Susie!!
ReplyDeleteOMG woo hooo wagon SWEET rip sukie :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Susie is beautiful, though in quite a different way than Suki is beautiful. Is Susie a Subaru Legacy? An Outback? I'm so glad. I feel like you'll be safer when you take to the highways. How many miles? What year?
ReplyDeleteLove, Ma
Lots more room for critters!
ReplyDeleteYay! Susie's very pretty, and I'm so relieved to hear she's coming to help take care of you guys. I was getting nervous about those tow truck stories.
ReplyDeleteOh so glad your cat came back! Whenever pets go astray (our dog does this) I always look at them when they return and wonder just what they were up to!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting a new car! Woo hooo!
