Bookworm Award

I got tagged with this bookworm award by my friend Allison.

Photobucket
Here is the rule for the award: Pass it on to five other bloggers, and tell them to open the nearest book to page 46. Write out the fifth sentence on that page, and also the next two to five sentences...The CLOSEST BOOK, NOT YOUR FAVORITE, OR MOST INTELLECTUAL!!

The book closest to me is Contemporary Sociological Theory and its Classical Roots by George Ritzer. Enthralling, I tell ya.

"Thus, humans also have the capacity to create the conditions that constrain them. Through their mental processes people can free themselves, constrain themselves, or, more likely, do some combination of both things."

(That was the end of the section, so I did less than the 2-5 extra sentences.)

I think most of my blogging readers have already done this, but if you haven't, consider yourself tagged. Yeah, I'm lazy. Whatcha gonna do about it?

  1. While the book might not sound enthralling - that phrase is really clicking with me right now
